So Camden, NJ was recently named America’s Most Dangerous City for at least the third time in the past six years.
How many more times do they get it before the designation is retired?
They won’t be on that list for long. There are a ton of development projects going on there to attract wealthy people who want the big city feel without paying the big prices across the Delaware River. You can already see the waterfront area has gotten a facelift, and it’s only a matter of time until the rest of Camden follows.
The waterfront area is nice and relatively safe but is small and completely lifeless compared to most sections of Philly. And Route 30/676/the Ben Franklin Bridge cuts off the nicer part of Camden from the North. Add to it the poverty and corruption even in the safer sections, and my view on it is somewhat bleaker.
